ADA Legal Consulting

The Law Office of William D. Goren concentrates its efforts on ADA/Rehabilitation Act training and compliance with the aim of making those laws more understandable. Author of Understanding the Americans with Disabilities Act, Third Edition (American Bar Association, 2010) and numerous articles on the rights of persons with disabilities, Mr. Goren has been involved with ADA/Rehabilitation Act compliance since 1990. Beyond his considerable experience with the law, he also understands what it means to have a disability as he has congenital bilateral hearing loss of 65-90 db+ mitigated by hearing aids and lip reading. For other reasons, Mr. Goren also uses voice dictation technology.

William D. Goren's law office offers a suite of services, such as

  • Consulting with Attorneys (for the plaintiff or the defendant) on cases involving questions of ADA compliance (Titles I, II, and III), and/or compliance with the Rehabilitation Act of 1973;
  • Serving as an expert witness (for the plaintiff or the defendant) on cases involving questions of ADA compliance (Titles I, II, and III) and compliance with the Rehabilitation Act of 1973;
  • Legal research and writing pertaining to the ADA and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973;
  • Providing consultation on compliance with the ADA and/or the Rehabilitation Act, including but not limited to helping to determine the essential eligibility requirements of programs and activities of both governmental entities and places of public accommodations;
  • Assisting with ADA/Rehabilitation Act litigation;
  • Mediation;
  • Corporate training and Continuing Education Speaker on ADA and/or Rehabilitation Act compliance.
